AMS Food Bank

Queen’s Swipe It Forward (SIF)

  • Provides students in need with short-term, urgent support for access to nutritious meals → 6-8 weeks

  • Meal plan holders request a cashier to Swipe It Forward and can donate one meal per day (up to 5 per semester) → these meals are loaded on to student cards for use at on-campus dining halls

  • Referrals can be made by the following services: Student Wellness Services, Faith and Spiritual Life, Ban Righ Centre, Care Referral Program, QUIC, Student Awards, Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre, Athletics and Recreation, Off-Campus Living Advisor, Yellow House

Queen’s Community Cupboard

  • Accepts non-perishable food items and school supplies

  • Located at Duncan McArthur Hall

  • Operates on a “need something, take something, have something, leave something” manner

 

P.E.A.C.H Market

  • Distributes untouched foods rescued from across Queen’s Hospitality Services

  • Price options include a sliding scale model with tiered pricing for items at $1, $3, $5, or an open rate based on affordability

  • New Medical Building on Arch Street; open between 11 am - 2 pm

 

Partners in Mission Food Bank

  • 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday


Loving Spoonful

  • Local food stands offer fresh, local produce at no cost → take what you need

  • Located at Kingston Community Health Centre at 263 Weller Ave. Unit 4

  • KEYS Newcomer Services at 255C Bagot St

  • Kingston Native Centre and Language Nest at 610 Montreal St

 

Martha’s Table

  • Provides free, freshly prepared meals in a dining room → 629 Princess Street

  • Breakfast: 9 am to 11 am; Lunch: 12 pm - 2 pm; Dinner 3 pm - 5 pm

  • Takeout meals available 7 days a week between 12 pm and 2 pm
