Addiction and Mental Health Services (AMHS)

Campus Observation Room (COR)

  • Confidential, non-medical detox service where Queen’s students can sleep when they have consumed too much alcohol

  • Off of Albert Street and Queen’s Crescent Located in Leonard Hall (128 Queen’s Crescent) → South East entrance near the corner

  • Use Amey’s Taxi and receive a taxi chit to pay for the ride


KHSC Detoxification Centre

  • Confidential, non-medical detox service where people living in Kingston, ages 16 years or older

  • Go safely to withdraw from alcohol or other drugs


Heads Up! - Early Psychosis Intervention Program

  • Provides early intervention to help individuals aged 14 to 35 years of age experiencing a first episode of psychosis


  • Assess, treat, and educate

Maltby Centre

  • Individuals aged 18-24Provides crisis support, mental health services, and autism services free of charge for

Resolve Counselling Services

  • Child and youth counselling, family services, intimate partner violence, developmental disability services, employee/employer assistance, and financial wellness

  • Fees range from $15-$110, but there is an option to apply for subsidies

Al-Anon/Alateen

  • Peer support programs for adults and teenagers who have been affected by someone else’s drinking
