Community Outreach

CPR-a-Thon is a QFA-run awareness campaign aimed to teach CPR and its importance in life-threatening scenarios. A booth is set up in the ARC during the Winter semester, and we teach passers-by the basics of recognizing when to call 911 and administer CPR for someone who is not breathing. Each year, those who take part are entered in a raffle draw to win a prize. In the past prizes have included an apple watch, a google home mini, and a UE boom!

Queen's First Aid has also partnered with other organizations on campus, such as the Campus Observation Room (COR) and Student Wellness Services (SWS). We participate in numerous public outreach and education initiatives, such as the education and distribution of naloxone kits. You may find us on campus throughout the year at a themed booth that promotes health and wellness. Topics like sun safety, safe substance use, mental health first aid, etc. are all initiatives we've undertaken in the past. Don't forget to come say hi!
